The passes that work here

Sun Valley and its sister resort in Utah, Snowbasin, are independently owned and sell their own passes. Three outside passes include days here this winter. Prices are each seller's, on Oct. 18.

Ikon Pass

7 days, no blackouts From $1,529 adult

Seven days at Sun Valley with no blackout dates and no reservations. Baldy and Dollar draw from the same seven, so a beginner day on Dollar uses one up. It also brings 15 friends-and-family tickets at 25% off the window rate, good here or at Snowbasin. After the seventh day, there's no discount on more tickets.

Best for
Skiers already planning trips to other Ikon mountains who'll spend a week or less here

The Ikon Base Pass and the Ikon Session Pass get no days at Sun Valley. Adult price is for ages 23 and up, on Oct. 18.

Mountain Collective

2 days, then half off $729 adult

Two days at Sun Valley with no blackout dates, then 50% off full-day Baldy tickets for the pass holder. A physical pass goes straight to the lift. With only the confirmation email, stop at a ticket window with photo ID first.

Best for
A two- or three-day stop on a longer western trip

Teens pay $594 and kids $304. Adult price is for ages 19 and up, on Oct. 18.

Snowbasin Premier Pass

5 days, then half off $1,359 adult

Sun Valley's sister resort outside Ogden, Utah. Its Premier Pass includes five days at Sun Valley this season, then 50% off more days. Snowbasin's cheaper Value Pass doesn't include Sun Valley.

Best for
Utah skiers who'd make the drive north once or twice

Adult price is for ages 27 to 64, on Oct. 18.

  • Not on Epic. Sun Valley spent three seasons on the Epic Pass and left after 2021-22 for Ikon and the Mountain Collective (Boise State Public Radio, March 2022).
  • One Ikon trap. The Ikon Base Pass that comes with the resort's Challenger Platinum pass is for other Ikon mountains. It gets no days here.

Day tickets: Baldy and Dollar

Two mountains, two tickets. A Baldy ticket covers both mountains that day; a Dollar ticket covers Dollar only. The price follows the calendar. A Tuesday in January costs what a Saturday does.

Bald Mountain ticket

Adult $118 to $272 Kids $89 to $138

The big mountain: 3,400 vertical feet, with base areas at River Run and Warm Springs.

Best for
Anyone who can ski a blue run

Dollar Mountain ticket

First-timers, young kids, and park days

The resort's store sells Dollar tickets from Dec. 11 on. Dollar's opening date isn't posted yet.

Good to know

  • Online or at the window. The resort says buying online in advance saves up to 15%. It doesn't post window prices, so we can't check that. The window rate still matters if you hold a pass: the Ikon and Mountain Collective discounts come off it.
  • Multi-day tickets. A set number of days inside a window, from 2 of 3 up to 6 of 8 on Baldy. They save little: 6 of 8 days starting Jan. 19 costs $1,258, against $1,290 for the same days one at a time. Buy one for the flexibility.
  • Late arrival. After 12:30 p.m., $108 to $246 for an adult on Baldy.
  • Refunds and changes. All tickets are nonrefundable and can't be transferred. The resort may move one to another date, at that date's price, but doesn't promise to.

  • Ticket cards. Your first one costs $4 and reloads; days you add to it online go straight to the lift.

River Run. Parking there is easier and there's more of it. If you'd rather start at Warm Springs, leave the car and take the bus.

One pass per pocket

The gates read your pass through your jacket, and the first one they find is the one you use all day. Carrying an Ikon Pass and a Sun Valley ticket? Leave one behind, and keep your phone in a different pocket.

Small print

  • A $5 donation to the National Forest Foundation is added to each cart in the resort's store. It's optional; Baldy sits in the Sawtooth National Forest.
  • Pass protection. Most of the resort's season passes come with free protection if injury, illness, pregnancy, or military service ends your season.
  • Questions go to the ticket office: (208) 622-6136 or [email protected].

Questions people ask

Is Sun Valley on the Ikon Pass?

Yes, on the full Ikon Pass: seven days for 2026-27, with no blackout dates and no reservations. Baldy and Dollar share those seven days. The Ikon Base Pass and the Ikon Session Pass don't include Sun Valley.

Is Sun Valley on the Ikon Base Pass?

No. Neither the Base Pass nor the Session Pass gets days at Sun Valley in 2026-27. The resort's Challenger Platinum season pass comes with an Ikon Base Pass, but that's for skiing other Ikon mountains.

Is Sun Valley on the Epic Pass?

No. Sun Valley was on the Epic Pass for three seasons and left after 2021-22, when it joined the Ikon Pass and the Mountain Collective.

How much is a lift ticket at Sun Valley?

For 2026-27, an adult one-day Baldy ticket bought online costs $118 to $272, depending on the date: $272 over the holidays and other peak weeks, $215 in regular weeks, and $118 to $125 early and late in the season. How we built this

We read every price on this page on Oct. 18, 2026, from the seller's own site: the resort's ticket store for each day of the season and each season pass, ikonpass.com, mountaincollective.com, and snowbasin.com. Rules come from sunvalley.com and BCRD. This season's lift work is from the resort and the Idaho Mountain Express. We don't sell tickets or passes, and each card links to the seller. Passes are listed alphabetically within each group.

Prices move. The resort says season pass prices rise toward opening day, and its store prices day tickets by date. Check with the seller before you buy.

Every listing is free. Nobody paid to be here, and nobody can pay to move up. If we ever sell a featured spot, it'll say so on the listing. Listings were last checked in October 2026.
